Key not detected 66 Plate

Featured Replies

Good after guys, first time poster so I apologise in advance lol

the mrs has a 66plate fiesta and the fob casing got very tatty so we got another case off Amazon, we replaced the insides of the fob and blade (it’s not keyless btw)and on trying to start the car it’s saying key not detected, yet the fob works to open and close the car! we’ve tried new battery’s as a first port of call but still the same, any help guys would be ace TIA

There's a proximity chip in the old casing. You'll need to transfer it to the new one.

Locking function is totally separate from immobiliser.
