Fiesta 1.4 petrol MK7 intermittently loses engine power

Hi all, 

my girlfriend recently bought an 09 plate 1.4 fiesta titanium, and it’s having a strange issue. The car drives perfectly 99% of the time, no starting issues or anything. Randomly the car will lose power - seems to be usually around 20-30mph, the engine will drop in revs and the car starts to slow down, you can save the car by mashing the accelerator usually or changing gear, then it goes back to normal. I have a j2534 reader and there are no DTC’s. No idea what the issue is, any common culprits or thoughts?
