Just bought some carbon mirror covers for my MK4.5 that were advertised as MK4.

Is there a difference to the MK4 as the passenger side on the MK4.5 is much larger.

    Surely you mean door mirrors, there’s not been wing mirror’s since the seventies 😆, sorry for being pedantic and of no help. 😁

    Are you saying the OS and NS on the same car are different sizes? 

    I definitely didn't notice that on the mk4 PFL if so.  Don't have access to Mk4 or 4.5 parts catalogues unfortunately.

    Not noticeable unless you have them side by side.

    and obviously showing my age by calling them wing mirrors. 😀

    Seems very odd with all the cost cutting that's gone on with the Mk4's.  I suppose a larger mirror glass gives a bigger field of view but doesn't seem necessary for any legislation that I'm aware of. 

    I wonder if it's always the passenger side or whether it's meant to be the drivers side and just hasn't been swapped for RHD builds.

    Strange one as the mirror caps I bought are both smaller like the drivers side.

    Looking on Ebay at MK4 mirrrors there is a difference.
