M4 Clutch Randomly & Intermittently won't go into gear

2019 mk4 petrol manual 1.0l

Clutch seems to not be fully disengaging. But it's at random. So it may be fine for 2 mins or 2 hours and then suddenly won't go into or out of gear.

I've tested by engaging first gear with engine off and starting the car. And it definitely pulls ever so slightly. So when it does play up. It's the clutch not disengaging properly.  But being SO random I am stumped on the cause.  I suspect it may be air. But is there Aby other culprits I can look for and a way to test and pinpoint what's going wrong?

    Possibly a problem with the clutch slave cylinder not holding pressure. Is the problem worse when the engine is hot ?

    No pattern is emerging regards hot and cold.

     

    It might be fine for 50 miles of city and motorway driving

    Or it may be impossible to change gear within a few seconds of cold start/ even straight on a cold start.
