Thermostat housing

Featured Replies

Hi I am working on my daughters focus 2005 1.6 ti Gear I think there's a problem with the thermostat and need to change it. There seems to be a choice that it tells you all fit her car. The one that's on there has the sensor in it and 3 ports but only 2 ports have hose's on which I think is weird. Euro car parts say it's the right one but why the 3rd port unless it's blocked off. I don't want to take it off untill I have replacement part ready as she needs it. Any help will be great.

Cheers

There's an electronic thermostat in the 3 pipe housing.  It's a different shape to the stat in the 2 pipe housing.

Just checked price for genuine Ford...£367!

It won't be getting a genuine one then. eBay special it is.

Cheers
