Water in Footwells

Featured Replies

I own a 1.0L Ecoboost fiesta 2016

So in the last couple weeks I was smelling a damp or musty smell inside my car, cleaned and hoovered out the interior and found wet carpets. Lifted carpets and found the under padding was soaking on both sides of car and pollen filter was soaking, used a wet vac and removed about 4L of water that had pooled under the carpets.

I found where the water is leaking from, it’s between the pollen filter and AC unit, whenever the blowers are on (the AC automatically comes on) and so then the AC unit casing gets wet and leaks out the joint.

I’ve looked as far as can see, can’t see any damage to hoses or pipes, can’t see much in engine bay, however discovered that air intake under black cover at bottom of windscreen, the air intake is loose, can’t see any fitting however it is loose sitting on the ledge of chassis.

Also used to park facing down hill however changed to park facing uphill**

Anyone else have this problem and a fix???

same with ours, still trying to find thr issue. Pollen filter soaked and water leaks out. others forums have mentioned aircon drain blocked. I did unblock the under bonnet (debris) area a year or so ago and thought I'd solved the issue but it seems not.
