Aircon re-gass plugs

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me with locating the sockets for regarding the aircon? I can find one, but I can't see the other. The cars a 1.4 petrol Fiesta Ghia (pre facelift) il attach an image of the engine bay. Found the one on the front of the car, right by the left headlight.

If that's your actual engine I'd be more concerned about why the coolant has been blowing past the cap.

The other AC port is on the dryer in the wheel arch under the headlight.  Should be able to access it by just removing the screws and folding the liner out slightly.

That is my actual engine bay, the old coolant cap had a split in it when I brought it. Its since been replaced and not leaking. But thank you for the other aircon port location, just had a re-gass now

I'm hoping you are just curious, and aren't messing about with it yourself. A/C gas is poisonous, and can cause blindness. You need specialist training to carry out an A/C re-gas.

And freeze your body parts . Not nice stuff

The old r12 gas was far more poisonous, inhaling while smoking produced mustard gas i was told back in the 1980s.

In  Allways careful with Aircon gas with appropriate gloves and goggles used.

I wasn't messing around with it, the technician at work couldn't see it when I asked him to do a re-gass
