(Ford) Mercury Grand Marquis Help...

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 1997 (Ford) Mercury Grand Marquis. I have an issue for the last couple of days there has been a swooshing sound when I accelerated around 50mph or so. If I we're to describe the sound (which sounds weird to say) but it is like if you we're to put a plastic bag out the window while driving having that plastic bag waving in the wind but not as loud it's faint. I don't know what the issue could be, any thoughts. The car is not over heating, drives/shifts smoothly, idles fine, and only had around 141k miles. It is a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, thank you ahead of time for any information.

This is an unknown model in the UK so you are unlikely to get much help. Try a USA Ford owners forum.

Sounds like inlet or even exhaust leak
