and i reading your forum and i see the probleme water in the boot!!

My five wheels learning to swinming in my boot too !!!! 😅

Bonjour!

The 1.6 EcoBoost DOES NOT use a belt in oil like the 1.0 EcoBoost.  It uses a conventional dry belt.

There is not a chain or a belt for the oil pump on this engine.

I didn't know you were fluent in French. You're a dark horse Tom, or should I say "cheval noir" 🤣

"cheval noir" 🤣

Isn't that something to do with Lloyds Bank?😀

I think thats one of those phrases that doesn't translate well. I've tried that one in online translators before and iirc it came up with "candidat inattendu" - approximately ( I think) "unexpected candidate" which I guess is what we often mean by it. Ah, my 'O' level French seems so long ago now - probably because it is!

And even when you get an accurate translation, it's not always what was actually meant. There's loads of this stuff on line, eg:

I'm probably more of a mouton noir tbh.

I did get a GCSE in French.  Even had to recount a day of work experience at a garage for that!

Reckon I could still parle un peu de la boite des pistons.

Lol, my family history research revealed my great grandfather was one of those!
