I have a 2008 transit 85 T260 2.2 duratorque, the start up issues always occur after it has had a long run…even after it being turned off for an hour I’ll go to start it which it will but after approx 5 seconds it cuts out….when attempting to restart it really labours initially as if the battery were flat and then will take around 30 seconds of constant turnover until it eventually fires up…..there’ll be some white smoke for a few seconds then runs fine….it never has this issue after short journeys though…..thought the problem had been solved as my mechanic found a hole in the air intake manifold, admittedly it is better but still has this issue…..a right pain as I’m wanting to sell it.
