"Hill Start Assist Not Available" Popped up in MK8...

Featured Replies

Hello!

Not sure if i'm being slightly daft but last night while driving my MK8 Fiesta I had the "Hill Start Assist Not Available" message pop up along with the ABS and Traction light for around 30 seconds before going off. It did seem as though the car lost power for a brief moment, I noticed the speedo drop from about 38MPH down to 30 before jolting back up to my original speed when the message popped up, after this occured the start/stop system no longer worked with the symbol not even showing up on the dash when I came to a stop. this also happened twice on my commute to work this morning lasting a similar amount of time both times. I'm assuming it could possibly be an issue with the cars battery especially with the dials dropping and start/stop not working but I've noticed the car has started with a vibrating sound which seems to be coming from the passenger side front wheel wheel when on the motorway so I'm thinking this could possibly be related to this issue or is a separate issue on its own!

Just curious to know if anyone else has had a similar experience and if so what was the issue and fix?

Thank you in advance!
