Ford Sync Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My car has everything I want, auto everything but the only thing missing is a Sat Nav so I've always had to use my phone and Google Maps.

I have Sync 1, with the 4" display and it's rubbish, so I've been wanting to upgrade to Sync 3 for a while now, so I can have a bigger screen and use Android.

One option is to upgrade to Sync 3 and get a harness loop, as I don't want to do the wiring myself or buy one of the Android Stereo upgrades, like this for instance:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Stereo-Ford-Focus-2012/dp/B0BG23W8BS/ref=asc_df_B0BG23W8BS/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=641662199421&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6644339914962279832&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006867&hvtargid=pla-2008927936219&psc=1

I know Sync 3 would be great but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with an aftermarket Android Stereo like the one above? That probably is a bit too cheap and cheerful looking but I'm wondering if there are any quality upgrades along those lines?
