Looking for a sports cat for my fiesta

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm trying to upgrade my exhaust system for the 2009 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6. I've just put a Milltek Catback sports exhaust on it and I'm now looking to add a sports cat to it but I can't find one anywhere. I can only find ones for the MK7 ST or the 1.0 EcoBoost. I'm new to all this and don't wanna get the wrong one and waste £500 or more... Is there one for another model Fiesta that would also fit the Zetec S? I'm based in the south of Essex so if there's anyone that you could recommend that could manufacture one, please let me know.

Cheers

There's no such thing as a sports decat.

You can either have a decat which is just an empty pipe (doesn't reduce emissions, fails MOT) or you can have a sports cat, which costs more but is still a cat, still passes MOT, but is made with larger holes for less exhaust restriction.

That's what I mean, my bad.

Get a real Sports Cat 😉

No worries.  Sadly, I don't think they make them for the non-turbo 1.6.  You could get one custom built to fit.

Though I had a Milltek de-res on a Mk6 ST and didn't feel the need to change the cat.  My recommendation would be to spend the money on something else.

I only want it because I wanna get it 'popped and banged' and to do so need a sports cat. Too much hassle to keep changing a decat for an MOT, plus I'd probably get pulled for a roadside test by the old bill.
