1.8 petrol estate 2009 wishbone

Featured Replies

Hi all, really could with some help please.

I have started to try and replace both wishbones having viewed numerous online videos but also having previously replaced these before on an older model.

I am however such, as there is a long bolt which I cannot remove as it hits the air con unit, I have dropped the metal cowling that surrounds the a unit but still no luck.

Cannot see how remove this bolt, surely you don't have to remove the a unit do you? If that's the case think I'm beaten, will have to put it back together and take into a garage.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

You do have to remove the AC pump for wishbone bolt on this engine.

The system does not need to be discharged as it can be moved on the flexible pipes.  Just make sure to support the pump using bungee cord or something so that it does not strain the pipes.
