RyanMac
Hello All, Help or advise required.... Im losing power every time i drive on motorway and it has a slight hill on it! it seems like 5th and 6th gear are completely irrelevant!! i can go from 80mph down to 55/60mph within seconds. ive replaced the vacuum pump valve as i was advised this would cure the problem but the problem is still there. i've noticed my fuel consumption has increased aswell. im not getting any warning lights on ECU and all seems ok. It drives fine on B roads and built up areas, but as soon as you hit a motor way or an A road with a slight hill, the problem re-occurs. Any advise or help would be much appreciated. Thanks
alexp999
1.0 or 1.6? How long have you had the car, has it always done this or used to be ok and started recently?
DaveT70
Low pressure fuel sensor could be a problem on early ecobooms, but it sounds like low boost. Check the diaphragm on the turbo hasn't split Check the actuator is working correctly Check the MAF sensor is clean Check the air filter is clean and dry Check the spark plugs condition Try better fuel?????? (if you use cheap as poss)
