Can a mobile speed van calculate your speed when its driving around, or does it have to be parked?

    Parked - with the exception of the new landrovers in use on stretches of the M6 round Birmingham - the first cars I believe that can nail you on the move without any input from the officer on board.

    I was driving down a side road and the van drove past on the main road that the side road connects to so it was horizontal to me (i.e I was driving towards the side of it as it was moving forwards).

    im not sure how they work and was wondering if it could have clocked me as I was driving down the side road towards it as it went past from one of its blacked out side windows?

    Dont worry about it buddy, it wont have clocked you they have to be parked up and have to aim the radar as your car reg no. so that it reflects back
