Focus Mk2.5 Combined DRLs/Fog Lamps

Featured Replies

I’m looking at some of the fog lamp units on eBay etc which include a halo ring to use as DRLs instead of my current setup linked in with the auto headlamps.

What are peoples experience with these? Example below

EBay fogs/DRLs

I’ve seen older post linking a module to power them up and possibly dim when main beams are on.

Wiring not an issue for me though I’d maybe want to sort a link lead to feed from the original foglamp connectors instead of cutting into the wiring loom.

Could even get creative with the versions that can light up orange to work with the indicators too.

Thanks

My LX came with nothing but blank plastic panels. I got some 'fog lamp' panels, and fitted a halo/center LED lights, and had them separately switched inside the cabin. They are used as DRLs.

Thanks - looks neat with the buttons in the dash, I just haven’t got any spare slots to use on mine and would prefer not to need to wire anything into the cabin if I can help it.

I had a set on my old MK2 you need a relay for the DRLs to auto switch on and dim when the headlights turn on like this for example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185959196192?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=10wvvm4osym&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=7Sl-KwUsRoG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY the wires to connect to it are normally on the back of the fog. This saves needing extra switches.
