Maintenance manual

Featured Replies

What is the best site to use for a Maintenance manual for my Mk8 ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboost  2021 st line. In the past I have always went for a Haynes manual but these are not available for this car. What are my best options now thanks.

It always takes a few years before a workshop manual is released for a new model. After all for the first 3 years it is still under warranty (like your car will be) and doing any work on it could well void the manufactures warranty.

I expect that Haynes will be releasing a new workshop manual on the Fiesta Mk8 soon. I'm not aware of any other manuals for the car at this moment.

Thanks for the quick reply, in the past I have always done most jobs on my cars like fluid changes , suspension, brake disk and pads and minor repair work that doesn't require to many specialist tools. Your correct my car in still under warranty till February when it's due its first mot and another service. It has full dealer service history at present,  which is only one dealer service as they (ford) say every two years for a service. I was very disappointed when I checked the service history and all ford did was a oil change at nearly 20 thousand miles. I am reluctant to go to ford to have them charge ridiculous money for the continuous full service history or local garage for the likes of a oil and filter change when my ford warranty will be expired by then. I know this is a personal choice,  I've never owned a car this new before and would probably like to have a few more dealer stamps (services) on its records but is it really worth it as my Ford Warranty will be expired by then.

I haven't bought a Haynes manual in the last decade.  The basics have all remained the same (suspension, brakes, filters etc) and you can generally find anything else on forums or in YouTube videos.

The only thing Haynes is good for is torque settings and wiring diagrams...but those are often questionable (typo's presumably) so I'd rather have those confirmed by someone with access to Autodata or similar.

Yes your probably right Tom, they are only good for reference as you say you tube seems to be the way to go now as it seems. But that to has its faults as they are only as good as the person posting. Some of the videos I've watched, I wouldn't let them near a set of spanners , guess they are only after likes and youtube fame. Saying that if you look up the right/ correct source then it's all good.

Haynes manuals are not what they used to be. As cars have gone more electronic Haynes now only do electronic manuals and they are now pretty useless as they are mainly full of generic stuff. I bought the one for my Fiesta Titanium 2022 125 mHEV but complained to Haynes about how useless it was and managed to get a refund for it in the end.

Dealer stamps were  worth only an extra £500-£600 on a 7 year old fiesta 1.0 ecoboom titanium as we found out when we px my partner's car . I had done all the servicing after 12months old. So cheaper  for me to service and take the hit.

This forum a better resource than Haynes manual.

Thanks iantt for that bit info on your part ex with full service history. That's the route I'm going to take as I have always carried out my own servicing,  the only thing putting me off this time was that it was so newish and still in warranty.  As I said earlier thou, the time its due a oil change and service it will be no longer in warranty.
