Hi all, 

can’t see that anyone’s posted anything like this, so I think I’m the first.

 

A couple months ago we had our wing mirror nocked off and broken so I ordered up a second hand one and kept the old.

 

i found out you can actually buy replacement housings from china, so, took the old one apart and ordered the new one. 
 

this isn’t a guide but it’s fairly simple, clips and 3/4 screws.

 

this is what it looked like before

 

inbetween these photos I fitted a second hand one and took apart the old one, I don’t have photos but it’s a bit fiddly.

It comes apart in 3 main interior parts then the cover, puddle light and indicator.

 

the new part with a new indicator 

 

and after it’s all put back together again.

 

took me about 10 minutes to put back together, but longer to take it apart as I had no idea what I was doing.

It basically is, but it’s missing some pieces so I didn’t want to label it as one.
