Focus mk4 rear brake pad change.

Featured Replies

I've done the front disks and pads on my mk4 Focus and next I need to do the rear, last time I did rear pads was on a mk3 Mondeo.

I am wondering if the Focus are the same and I need to use a wind in tool anticloskwise on 1 side and clockwise on the other, I am aware that I will need to put the electronic handbrake in service mode.

Thanks Mark.

Pistons don't need to be 'wound' with EPB.  They can just be pushed straight back once EPB is in service mode.

Got round to doing the rear pads and disks today and found that the pistons would not push in and had to be wound back in.😕

Simple enough to do, as I have a wind back tool.
