Rear disc brake caliper bracket tightening torque?

Featured Replies

Hello. Does anybody know the tightening torque for the rear disc brake caliper bracket? Those are smaller bolts than the front.20230925_145604.thumb.jpg.0da01a8bd94c6be61133add1dc88bc9c.jpg

Tight will do, probably 40-50 NM

I'd suspect more like 75Nm.  But you won't find many mechanics torquing those bolts anyway.  Just make sure they're tight and use a smear of threadlock as belt & braces if desired.

70 Nm according to Haynes.

Tight as you can but be careful too tight can snap stuff been there done that. Americans are the torque junkies we tend to do it by hand 😁

Yeah a broken bolt or stripped thread turns a 30 minute job into a multi hour/day ordeal 😰🤣

Thanks all for your replies! Will give it another go this afternoon as I didn't have the caliper reset tool when I posted this question.
