When we bought our 2020 Focus Active we settled on one that didn't have the hitch from the factory and would like to add it but I'm not sure if I should get an aftermarket kit or not. I would like to use the Ford electronics (trailer module, etc) to avoid cutting into the wiring but I don't mind using an aftermarket tow bar since they all seem to bolt on just like the factory one.

Has anyone added a trailer hitch to their mk4? Did you use an aftermarket kit, source Ford genuine parts, or a combination?
