ENGINE SERVICE NOW

Featured Replies

Hi, I am an owner of a 2015 (15 plate) Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost Titanium 125bhp 6 speed manual auto start/stop.

Had the car for almost 3 years and atleast twice a week I get the annoying ENGINE SERVICE NOW warning pop up followed by loss of power as turbo turns off and fan turns on, basically goes into what they call Limp Mode.

I've got a certified mechanic to plug a £5000 Diagnostic computer to the car and still it cannot root the problem or even detect it.

I've been getting on by just simply turning the car off and waiting about a minute and turning it back on and it most of the time works. When turning the engine on I rev immediately as one user suggested I do and this most of the time helps keep the fault code at bay.

Someone please HELPScreenshot_20230928-013236_Gallery.thumb.jpg.f9de2d56a83faa3334bf6c56834b8079.jpg

There will be a fault logged. If you have access to a windows laptop grap a Vlinker FS and try Forscan.

You need to use FORScan to read codes, but if none are present,

You need to set yourself up with FORScan and keep the laptop and lead with you at all times.

When the fault pops up, do not switch off car, just plug in and read codes whilst the fault is active, you should see where the issue is then
