Adding a Sub Woofer to Mk3 Focus.

Featured Replies

So I picked up a focus subwoofer for £20 a week ago and had a failed attempt at fitting it today.

After studying the wiring diagram I managed to find a plug under the drivers side rear seat with the right wire colours in. Connected it up and changed the setting with Forscan, but it didnt work. So I took the ACM out and saw that there were no wires connected to the terminals on the back. I connected them direct, but still no luck.

I have retro fitted a sync 2 into my car with a DAB so I thought I had the right ACM with the facilities for the woofer.

Any ideas? Or has anyone successfully added the woofer?

So looking into this a little further, it looks like there is a specific ACM for the sub woofer option with a separate connection F1BT- 18C185- Z**.

I was wondering if these are the only ACM's for the Sub option or is there an ACM that starts with BM5T that will work?
