Help Wth Forscan

Featured Replies

I am expecting delivery of a new to me steering wheel with cruise control for my 2013 Focus.

I am hoping I can replace the wheel and all will be OK but the cruise control wont work until set up on Forscan. Is this true or should I wait until I'm ready to update the ECU?

I live in Bexleyheath and am wondering if somebody lives fairly local and can guide me through using Forscan. I'm happy to pay for your time.

I have the OBD reader and have downloaded Forscan but have no configuration ability.

Can anybody help please?

As long as the indicator stalk clock spring supports cruise control it should just be a matter of going into BCM and IPC configuration and activating cruise control and speed limiter (ASL)

Hi DaveT70, thanks for replying. I think I need a license or something and even with that I'm not sure I would know what to do to activating cruise control and speed limiter.

I will start off with the steering wheel change and see how I go. If everything works after that then it is just setting up the cruise control.

Yes you will need the extended licence for some aspects of FORscan, but well worth it if your handy and not willing to pay for someones knowledge. There are plenty of how to's for your project on google etc. There may even be one in the archives on here.

Would I be able to change the steering wheel, reconnect everything and then program at a later date? I am guessing the cruise control wont work but everything else should and I wont get any error messages?
