Recurring problem with management light

Featured Replies

I bought a used Ford Focus car (3 year and 6 month old) last Aug 2023, after a week of having the car with us check engine came off with P2000 code and it was the  local garage who diagnosed it then he advised us to go to Trustford to fix this. Informed dealership and gave us a go as they were paying because it’s still under warranty.  Trustford changed the 02 sensor but after a week, engine light was back again so we just went to local garage thinking it might be different issue. First, we didn’t know what’s wrong as my husband forgot to ask, then after 3 days engine light came again and the mechanic said it was the same code from the previous, P2000, so he regenerated it. I spoke to dealership and they said to bring it again to Trustford. Mechanic there said that there’s just buildup with the sensor so they just cleared it. They advised to change driving style and we strictly followed them. But after another week, engine light came off again.

Me and my husband just give up. We’re too tired and stressed now with the car, with all the long journey to Trustford or garage, plus we have a small baby with us.

I decided to message the dealership if we could just return the car because it’s same problem from the start, and is never resolved.

The dealership is ignoring me and won’t reply to my message.

Can you advised what should I do here?

Thanks

Speak to the sales manager. If he ignores you, speak to the dealer principal.

If he ignores you, drive to the dealership and speak to the sales manager or, if you purchased with finance, tell the finance company the car is faulty and you wish to reject it

As above.
