Automatic rotary shift noises

I’ve got a Mk4 ST line auto with the rotary shifter. Recently ive noticed that when it’s in Park and I want to move into drive, when I place my foot on the brake to unlock the shifter, there’s a click noise that was never there before. If I take my foot off the brakes it clicks again as it locks the shifter. Only does it when it’s in Park.
 Is it something to be concerned about? Anyone else with an auto get this click as well?

    It makes a small click so that blind drivers can hear when it's in park 😉
