Ford galaxy gear selector

Featured Replies

Hi all i have a 2011 ford galaxy and am after a new gear selector not the part code last 3 letters on mine are mke and theres 1 with the letters mkc does this make a differance as rest of numbers are the same thanks

The very last letter is the revision number, kind of like a batch code or a date code. Normally it is advised only to use parts which are the same. or have a newer revision.

-----MKC could be replaced by -----MKE without any issues.

However in your case you are trying to replace a newer part with an older part. In this particular case I don't expect that it will be a problem.

Hi again i no this might be a daft question but theres a 1.6 tdci gear selector with excact serial number as my 2.0 gear selector would the 1.6 be ok to use or does it have to be the same size engine cheers

If it has the exact same Ford part number then it is the exact same part. Engine size doesn't matter.
