Fiesta MK8 Voice Control only activating Siri

Hi all,

Just picked up a used 2019 Zetec MK8 Fiesta, and everything is working properly, apart from the fact that when I press the voice control button, regardless of quick press or long, it only activates Siri and not the in-built car voice recognition. If my phone isn't connected, it won't even allow me to use voice recognition, and instead asks for a phone to be paired. Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply a feature that is optional and I haven't realised?

    Normally Siri is activated if you are using apple car play. Try going to settings and turning off CarPlay for the phone you are using and see if that makes any difference.
