Ford Focus MkIII rear seat leak.

Featured Replies

Hi folks, new here and by the title of the post ive a bit of an issue.

Now i know theres plenty of posts talking about water leaking into the mk3 and it being a common issue but the difference, and odd thing about the leak ive got, is that the entirety of the boot is bone dry. Not a drop in the spare wheel well, nothing.

All the moister seems to being focused (haha) in the circled corner of the picture ive attached and it goes from there and straight onto the back seat. Headliner is bone dry and couldnt see any signs of moisture around the door or window seals.

Would this issue be from the usual suspect spots for leaks or could it be something else?

To get to the bottom of this issue I suggest remove all boot trim. After making sure boot etc is dry power wash your cars rear end then Inspect the boot. See if there are any signs of water ingres or even a water trail.
