I wish I could understand 'emojis' LOL

I've heard that Stop/Start never seems to work on EV's. No matter how far you drive and even with a fully charged battery the engine just never Starts 🤔

That is my paranoia with all modern cars even petrol fitted with so called smart tech.

Ah, but I've got a motor that starts and stops.  😂😂

I quite like some smart tech, some I don't. Like adaptive cruise and lane follow assist on the motorway , but don't like lane keep assist. And before you ask follow and keep are slightly different.

Perhaps we should start another thread on smart and not so smart tech we like or don't like. Make a change from" have I got a wet belt or chain " or" stop start never works " or  never ending threads on ecoboom   😂😂😂

Now I'm intrigued to see if anyone other than Ian has got one yet?

Or is actively considering one?

As I mentioned on the "Things I do like" thread, I'm toying with the ideal of getting a wall box installed at some point, and could actually see an EV working for my Mrs's car when it needs replacing, assuming costs fall as various manufacturers keep predicting.

Current prices such as £32k+ for a Mini E, £37k+ for a Honda E and similar are just crazy. I've not gone into the leasing /finance side yet, which might look more attractive?

However, Citroen** and VW are talking about prices starting around £20k in a couple of years which sounds a bit more sensible but still way over the few remaining ICE city cars such as Kia Picanto/Hyundai I10 from £13-15k. We shall see.

**not this one!😀
