Has the garage messed up my windscreen washer pump wiring?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Not sure i've been messed about by a local garage, I have a 2015 Ford Focus mk3 1.5 tdci that has run flawlessly since I got it.

So about a week ago my windscreen washer pump died, having never had issues with the cat this is the first time i've gome to a local  garage to get it fixed.

I got the car back the other day, when pulling on the windscreen washer control leaver it squirts water on the front windscreen and all is good, when I push the leaver instead of pumping water to the rear it squirts water to the front screen as well.

When I showed the garage they seemed very quick to dismiss the issue and said all they have done is replace the pump so it's not their issue, and I need to go take it somwhere else.

This is my first time taking the car to a garage and it all feels like i've been messed about by them.

It sounds like a faulty valve in the new pump.
