Locked out of Galaxy

Featured Replies

Hello,

My Galaxy has been parked up for a while as I now have a works van.

I go out in it a couple of times a month with no problems. I came to it this morning and no response at all from the fob. I tried to manually open the door with the key and it does not work.

I am guessing the barrel has been changed in the ignition and not the door. I have tried the spare key and that doesn't work either.

I would be grateful for any advice as what to try first.

Thanks

Well it's not going to be a 10 minute job !!

You need to jack the front of the car up and remove the engine under tray.

Reach up to the main positive cable on the starter solenoid and connect the positive lead of a battery charger. Connect the negative lead of the charger to any good metal earth point. Leave the battery to charge for an hour and then you should be able to use the keyfob to open the door as normal.
