Seat Belt alarm intermittemtly

Featured Replies

i have a 2011 ford focus, when im driving the seat belt alarm comes on, i stop and unclip my seat belt and replace the alarm stops, but them when im driving again maybe 2 days later it does it again, any ideas please.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.  Usual culprit is the plug block under the seat.  But as unplugging & replugging seems to help, it may be a faulty belt buckle instead.

That does suggest the switch in the buckle has started to fail.

Without knowing if this is the model up to year 2011 - or - the model 2011 onwards I can't say for certain the Finis part number. The buckle assembly is as easy replacement part, but just as a precaution perhaps worth disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning.
