Wishbones

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I'm new on here so go easy lol I have a 1.5 diesel 2019 blue something in June this year i had to replace the drivers side wishbone because the bottom ball joint had play in it, lately I've noticed a slight knocking so I jacked up the car and to my surprise I found the same problem on the passenger side so is this a common fault on these cars also the start stop has never worked even though its been in the garage and the drivers window one touch works going down but i have to hold it going up and if it hits the top it bounces back down are these normal issues thanks for reading my post and i hope to gain some knowledge from you all

Seems like you need to train the bounce back. Not all trims have both up and down one touch just down.

Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.

Close the window.

Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the switch pressed for a few seconds.

Lift and hold the switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the switch held for a few seconds.

Start stop can have issues with low battery power there is a few posts on here it's easier to search via Google for example start stop ford owners club ->https://www.google.com/search?q=start+stop+ford+owners+club&oq=start+stop+ford+owners+club&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigAdIBCDI0NDZqMGo3qAIAsAIA&client=ms-android-oppo-rvo3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8&chrome_dse_attribution=1

The ball joints on the wishbones eventually wear out and depends on driving styles and that's 7 years of abuse they have had.

Thanks for the comments I’ll have alook at the posts you suggested also it was working one touch up and down then one day stopped now I have to hold the button up until it gets to the top and play with it until I think it’s shut otherwise if it hits the door it automatically bounces down 3 quarters of the way ***** annoying lol

Here is a link to just one of the 250+ threads on the forum regarding Stop/Start.
