Drive shaft bearing replacement WQ MK6

Featured Replies

Righto legends

Hopefully some one can help with this one ,  I recently swapped out a gearbox my my WQ  1.6 L mk6 manual all went well , during replacement  I noticed the drive shaft support  bearing will need changing out   ,  and ordered a eBay febest replacement  bearing, . 45x75x19 mm

The bearing that came has a ID of 44.85 mm , the OD of drive shaft is 44.00mm , would any one know if the shaft has a machine journal that the bearing runs on ,  I’ve had a good look and cleaned off the  rust between bearing and shaft but couldn’t see anything machined.

That said my eyes are getting old !
