swopping wheels and tyres

Featured Replies

i have recently got a focus vignale fitted with 235/40 r 18 wheels and tyres  i am very pleased with the car apart from the harsh ride and streering tram lining on ruts , i also have a  mk 3 focus titanium x fitted with 215/50r 17 wheels and tyres the ride is much softer and better steering,  is it possible to  put 215/50 r17 inch wheels and tyres on the vignale, the ride height looks the same  , but is the turning circle diffrent ie catching  inner wing ? i am not intrested in sporty handling more in comfort

The overall difference is not worth worrying about. The 17" wheel/tyre combination is actually 0.4% larger than the 18" but obviously the tyre is narrower.
