Just had the Ghia into the garage 42,223 miles on it, was half booked in 8 months ago, but life conspired against me and my mech. Faults

1. Kicked me in the pants on change down coming off the motoway

2. Felt flat, no zip

3. Clunk of gear selection plus a few other niggly bits. 

I knew it wasnt right. Had it in, change filter new oil and gently put an airline through the solenoids. Had the back brakes looked at as occasionally sticky, hand brake cables filled with oil and dont use for a week or so, and cabin filter.

£140 all in. Now cant really feel it change, no kick, no clunk the oil that came out was black for only 42,000+ miles and its got its zip back, am a happy bunny today.

In conclusion check your ATF, change it and the filter regularly. HTH someone reading.

    Had a driving day yesterday, motorway and town, never missed a beat even the flat spot joining the motorway around 50MPH has gone and the kick in the a55 coming off.

    Back in love with it, though I had a taxi from home to the garage in a later model Prius and I quite liked the interior, am tempted hahahahaha

    Filled her up and we'll see if the MPG has changed from 23-24
