Hi All,

Quick one to see if anyone knows or has done this - I've retrofitted sync 3 into my 2012 and have lost the dynamic parking lines which used to appear on the 5" Sync 1 display. I'm wondering if fitting a MK3.5 PAM would bring them back.

I know that if you install MK3.5 cluster into a MK3 you lose the parking sensor beeps until you replace the PAM as well - but what about using a MK3.5 PAM with a MK3 cluster?

    It's not possible to get the line back unless you replace the BCM and camera with mk3.5 versions, however the the PATS info is stored in the BCM and would require Ford to reprogram, which is expensive.  The mk3.5 PAM doesn't affect the lines and in my experience does not work properly with a mk3.  When I tried, I lost the beeps with a mk3.5 PAM and Park Assist did not work correctly.  If you want any sort of lines when reversing, the cheapest option is an aftermarket camera.

    Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that was the case. It would be nice but not essential to get the lines back, everything else works as it should (except Park Assist finishing up about a foot from the kerb!).
