U1035:00-2F missing comm with engine coolant level sensor

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a 62 plate focus 1.6 eco tech titanium x. Zetec s engine with vvt. I replaced water pump, timing belt & coolant reservoir. After this work my car has gone into limp mode saying high temp. It’s kicking up codes u1035:00-2F missing comm with engine coolant level sensor & p1299:00-AF cylinder head over temperature protection active. I believe it’s coming from either the sensor from the bottom of the resevoir or the overheating module that is part of the 013-014 recall. I am no mechanic and a beater by trade with limited engine knowledge. But am almost certain is an electrical issue. Just wondered if anyone encountered this issue before. Engine starts and runs no problem just thinks it’s overheating when it’s not. Have checked everything is plugged in. Just left scratching my head so thought I’d look for some guidance before taking it into ford
