Strange sound when inpull off in first gear

Featured Replies

I have a strange sound when I pull off in first gear. It only happens when I pull off quite slowly if pull off quickly it does not happen. The best way to describe it is like if you were to drag a wooden chair along a wooden floor other than that it drives perfectly zero issues at all.

My car is a 2016 focus 1.5tdci ecoboost

Thankyou for any help much appreciated

possibly just clutch 'whoop'

Not a lot you can do about it other than replace the whole clutch which is expensive and other that the noise it won't make any other difference.

No, you can get clutch whoop with a brand new clutch.

Depending on the type of driving it's done, perhaps lots of town miles then the clutch could be starting to fail, but normally you would expect to feel a bit of slip when pulling away if the friction plate is worn.
