2015 Focus ST250 engine misfire I think?

Featured Replies

Okay people here goes:

2015 focus st3

45k miles

ive owned it 2 years

in the last month or so has developed what I can only describe as a little bit of a misfire.

audible at idle, noticeable hesitancy as the power climbs between approx 1-3k revs, just feels hesitant. Wide open throttle and motorway cruising just feels normal.

no fluctuations on rev counter

car has no mods bar a k@n and an RS style airbox, regularly serviced, new plugs direct from mountune pre gapped in June. I’ve had them out and cleaned them for good measure but nothing untoward.

nothing unusual coming out of the exhaust.

no codes on my code reader

car is run on super unleaded

im at a loss and drowning in internet info that all points to utter disaster.

anything anyone can suggest that won’t cost me thousands to try?

many thanks
