Help with the spark plugs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, so not sure if this question would be relevant

I have Ford Focus ECOBoost 2014 year

I have made a full service 3 weeks ago and made only 300 miles. I had an issue with the car and checked spart plugs. They don't look like they have been changed

I have attached photos. Can someone suggest if I have good assumption that those spark plugs are way more than 300 miles. Oil looks clean in the car

Clearly not new spark plugs.

You don't mention mileage or the issue you experienced. Could it be that new plugs were not required at this particular service?

Does your receipt say that they were changed?

Were you charged for spark plugs ?

Many services do not include new spark plugs.

I think Ford only recommend it every 2-4 years. Depends on the engine. It’s not every service.

Mileage is 80k miles. I have done full service and in the log book they ticked that spark plugs have been changed

Issue now is that I got a message on the dashboard engine malfunction and car does not start at all

I have changed that in the service and that was full service and also they have ticked that those has been changed

Wow they certainly don't look new sparkplugs by that photo.

This is your plug, compared to a new one. As already stated, 1st port of call is to ask if you were charged for new plugs - if so, get then to fit what they charged you for, and seek out another garage...
