Quick question re elmconfig options greyed-out?

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm sure someone more experienced than me will instantly know the answer to this.

Using ELMconfig with my S-max (found only 0.2.13b works correctly...)

Reading BCM CCD fine

In Central configuration page 2Trailer module is greyed, also page 3 Parking assistance (and speed warning device & door remote control channel type)

Why is the trailer and PAM unavailable??

Have I done something wrong?

It is recommended that for vehicles 2013 onwards that the vLinker FS cable be used as the older ELM327 leads may not support all functions on newer models.

That's just what I have, a vlinker fs, updated etc. I'm puzzled!

I don't think ELMconfig has been updated in a very long time. Might Forscan work better?

What version of FORScan are you using?

Edit: I was just assuming that you were in fact using FORScan when you just said the you were using the vLinker FS cable.

I've tried to add the Trailer module in the past with Forscan, successfully at the time but now shows (if I recall correctly)  U2101 incompatible configuration.  Was just trying elmconfig as an alternative.

Tried latest release version (2.3.57?) and latest beta version (v2.4.9beta)

Do you have the paid licence (£12) for FORScan ?

Yes, was days off expiring so renewed yesterday.

Delete all previous profiles of your vehicle and make FORScan rescan all the modules again.

I've found in the past if for some reason FORScan is unable to read a module and it's not included with the vehicle profile, then it will never look to scan for that module again.

Makes sense. But I've tried that. It lists the module and the DTC but doesnt clear it.

I have the option to change the trailer configuration in the settings but doesnt seem to make any difference when I write them back. Strange.
