Focus clutch

Featured Replies

Hi. Thanks for letting me join you.  I have a focus st line x with 26000 miles. It does not go into gear with engine running (no problem with it turned off) was told it may be concentric slave cylinder but have also been told that it may be the pedal and master cylinder. Garage changed the pedal and it was ok for a couple of gear changes but has now gone back to not being able to select a gear. Any ideas?  sorry for a long first post

From the sounds of it the problem is indeed the clutch slave cylinder. It is a major strip down and probably 4 hours solid work.

ever been in a flood...  rusty input shaft with the plate seized to it causes fun

Thanks for replying. Not been in a flood so will have to drop box and look at slave cylinder. Any other ideas gratefully appreciated.
