MK3 pulls to the left and very sensitive to right steering

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2013 MK3 Focus (estate) ECOnetic with a 1.6 TDCi (105hp). The shop replaced the front shock absorbers, springs and tower bearings and did an alignment as well. They told me that the steering wheel is not centered (its a bit to the left which was always like this) but the alignment numbers are perfect. Now the car feels more tight which is good but it pulls to the left, I tried to reset the PDC with the steering wheel centered, but doesn't work. If I move the steering wheel to the right as trying to fix the drifting, the car instantly pulls to the right, it's like impossible to keep the car straight. The shop says that they checked everything and didn't find anything else. For the record they've also replaced the summer tires to winter tires.

I cannot take back to the shop until January due to the holidays, the car is drivable so I can use it at least, but it's very annoying.

I just wonder what it might be, is there anything that I should check or should I just wait until the shop fixes it?

Thanks in advance and of course, happy holidays.

Take it to a decent shop to get the alignment done properly.  All 4 wheels need to be aligned correctly.  The steering wheel needs to be centred.  Then the steering angle sensor needs to be recalibrated.

Don't reset PDC deactivate it
