hi guys, so my friend who also has a 1.0 ecoboost is selling his car so he’s putting it back to stock, he said he would give me his cold air intake, see this here. 

the only problem he says is that he thinks there may be a problem with the mass air flow sensor as he says his ecoboost sometimes gets the check engine light and it goes into limp mode, do you guys think it is worth fitting this on my ecoboost? bearing in mind it is stock but i am looking to get it tuned soon. thanks for any help!

    We are in no better position to say either way.

    You could always try it and see.

    I highly doubt an intake would cause an issue with the maf provided it was clean, mounted correctly and didn't have any other damage either to the maf or it's wiring. The intake is purely a pipe, I'd assume your friends issues are due to the actual maf, or it's wiring.
