Swap boots on a ford fiesta mk7 - swap locks

I have a replacement boot for a ford fiesta mk7. In order for the boot to lock on the central locking mechanism from the key do I need to swap over the lock from the old (original) boot to the new replacement boot?

    When changing the tailgate on a 2011 Fiesta it's usually not necessary to change the locking system over.
