Quick TPMS question

Featured Replies

I have a Mk8 - 2018 1.0 Ecoboost Ford Fiesta ST Line, it has the standard 17inch grey alloys. I scratched one of the alloys fairly badly so bought the same and new alloy from the Ford online shop.

I am looking for a mobile fitter to swap the tyre and TMPS sensor from my old alloy to the new, and obviously to balance it. I bought the below valve from Ford also:

Ford TPMS TYRE PRESSURE MONITOR SENSOR VALVE - 2040067

This is just the valve (i believe its the correct one). The question is when the mechanic comes to fit the new alloy, i am assuming he can just re-use the old TPMS sensor by unscrewing it and rescrewing it into the new valve stem?

Thanks

Yes, the sensor can be moved from the old wheel to the new one. Just make sure they actually do it 😉
