Aircon fans not working

Featured Replies

Hi. My aircon fans used to only work sometimes until it got a bit worse. Now the fans don’t work at all.

The controls light up normally. The heating resistor has been replaced. Coolant levels are fine. Radiator was replaced months back due to overheating issues but other than that what should I do next?

Could be corroded signal wire from Fan module? remove the connector from the Fan & do a + & - connection direct from Battery (check Fan isn't faulty) check & AC Clutch (Relay) is engaging??

Fan Control module has 3 wires (Probably RED+ / mauve "signal" / BLACK -) the Mauve/Purple/Pink?? is the signal wire....

Trace it down to the Chassis leg where it joins another Loom (that is where the corrosion normally occurs)

I had a similar issue on my 09 Galaxy, but it was corroded at the (Fan Module) Plug

I put it on my youtube channel:

Is it the external radiator fan or the internal blower motor that's not working?

With a slow decline as in your case, that's often just the fan motor itself failing.
